Room 4 on Sunday Mornings (for Young Adults/Adults/Seniors)
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m.
Join the Room 4 Sunday Morning class for a lively and loving conversation on a major topic, situation, scenario or problem facing the current day, and how it can be explored, expressed, countered or constructed in a progressive Christian viewpoint. Members of the class take turns leading the discussions that can range (and have ranged) from Israel/Palestine to global warming to perceptions of minorities in the media to the economic meltdown of 2009. Grab a cup of coffee and come converse!
The Faith Development team at Midway Hills offers numerous short-term classes periodically in Room 1 during the Sunday School hour.
Disciples 101, explaining the basics of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), how we started, where we are going, and how we get things done as a denomination and as Midway Hills.
Its sequel, Disciples 201, which goes a little deeper into the history of the movement, its implications, and what it means to be an evangelistic people of the table.
Christianity 101 will be taught as a primer to the faith—if you have no experience with progressive Christendom, and think Genesis is about Phil Collins, this is a great class to check out.
