Midway Hills is a bold and diverse church, and it is an honor to work with all members of this community for love, justice, and transformation. As the youth and I screw up the courage to go on a mission trip to be in solidarity with children who have experienced great trauma, I would like to reflect on both the Scriptures and some of Midway’s ministry to consider how we can be bolder.
I would like to ask you to consider this question before worship on Sunday: What have you done recently that required a lot of courage on your part? Or, is there something that you would love to do, but it feels too far out of your comfort zone?
In Worship on Sunday we will praise God together as we encounter Scriptures that show how we were created in God’s image, and through the grace of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are made to do and be always more and greater things for the kin-dom of God. I look forward to praising God and dreaming about the future of Midway being a continuation of our fervor and commitment to walk the Christian path as lovingly and as bold as possible.
