Greetings church family,
It is an honor to be preaching this Sunday for many reasons: because it is Pride Sunday, I love preaching in this congregation, and because we are continuing our sermon series on evangelism. Evangelism is an important aspect of the Christian faith to me, and when it occurs in our congregation it is often life-saving and powerful work. I mentioned last week at the table that even while some of you know me and see me every Sunday, you may not know much about my life. While the purpose of Sunday’s sermon is to celebrate Pride and how we live our story, I may share a little of my story as it relates to my passion for evangelism, youth ministry, and Pride.
So please come worship with us on Sunday, then come live your story of love and God’s radical acceptance by marching in the Pride parade. It is an amazing “open door” to show who we really are and what our priorities as a faith community are.
See you Sunday!
