I’m not entirely sure where to start on this article.
Most weeks, I have something really good (or at least long-winded!) to say, and this week, I’ve been staring at a blank page and a flashing cursor for far too long.
I think spending a day in silence messed me up, but in a good way.
So I’m going to invite you to join me in the silence for a little bit. It’s not always bad, I promise. Take a minute, turn everything that makes noise off, make sure your phone won’t ring, and just sit and be. Don’t read, don’t fidget, just… stop. And see what happens. Try it for ten minutes, and if you like it, keep doing it; if you don’t, stop after ten minutes. But listen for God in the silence; perhaps God will speak.
I’m sure we’ll have lots to talk about on Sunday. I look forward to seeing you then.
