Learn About Disease Resistant Roses Tuesday in Community Hall.
Rose Rosette disease has infected thousands of roses in Dallas and Fort Worth, forcing landscapers and homeowners to remove and destroy the plants.  Master Gardeners removed several roses with the disease by Midway Road. At Raincatcher’s Garden they have just installed 40 roses as part of a Texas A&M study to identify resistant varieties. Dr. Kevin Ong, one of the country’s leading researchers on RRD, is speaking on Tuesday, June 21st at 10:00 a.m. in Community Hall.
