Programs We Participate In
Workers Defense Project
Workers Defense Project is a community organization for low-wage, immigrant workers in the Texas construction industry. We bring together and stand alongside these workers as they fight for their right to be paid a living wage and be protected in their work.
Luke 4:18 Bail Fund
The Luke 4:18 Bail Fund, overseen and managed by Faith in Texas, aims to draw attention to the inequities within the money bail system and engage community members – especially those directly impacted – in the processes to address those injustices. All people have inherent worth and deserve to be treated with dignity, care, and respect. Ultimately, the goal of the fund is to set Dallas County captives free so they may return to their families, jobs, and community. The Luke 4:18 Bail Fund partners with faith communities, currently and formerly incarcerated people, families impacted by the legal justice system, and funders to drastically reduce the jail population in Dallas County.

Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square is a diverse coalition of Dallas’ faith leaders, dedicated to service, hope and a shared vision of justice and peace for our North Texas community. Faith Forward Dallas leads our virtue initiative and serves as a moral compass for the community.

The Gathering
The Gathering is a womanist church that exists to create worship experiences that address social justice issues through womanist preaching and action. It's not just for women, though - it's for women and men, where social justice is addressed through the gospel text in a way that raises prophetic voices and issues a rallying cry, speaking truth to power. It is about women and men working together to dismantle the systemic structures that seek to oppress people.
City Square
CitySquare uses proven methods to bring hope to our neighbors. They offer comprehensive services to address key areas related to the persistence of poverty. CitySquare has a Food Pantry, food recovery program, and brings food to the community youth through mobile meal programs after school and in the summer, in order to remove barriers to accessing healthy food. Their health and wellness programs work in both a clinic setting, as well as in our community and continuum of programs. CitySquare is the largest nonprofit provider of affordable housing in the City of Dallas with permanent supportive housing, transitional housing and rapid rehousing units. From workforce and financial empowerment, legal representation and services for youth aging out of foster care, CitySquare has programs focused on building hope.
